What began with Cap and Mom Endres in 1935, lives on today because of you. Their story is remarkable. Leaving the depression and the Oklahoma dust bowl behind, they began a summer camp in the north woods of Minnesota. Today the Endres Family has left a wonderful legacy. Camp Chippewa Foundation’s goal is to fulfill the mission these two pioneers began. The values you learned years ago are the same today. It truly is your camp now. We want you to stay connected and that’s why we have a cabin—The Pines—for you to stay in when you visit camp. Please contact us for more details.
Play scatterball. Shoot archery. Fish in Buck Lake. Paddle a canoe. Sail an X-boat. Tell stories around a campfire. We’re still at the end of the road, on two lakes, in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest. Come home.
Thanks so much for inviting us back to spend a couple days at camp. The Alumni Cabin is perfect! Tucked back in the woods with a view of Buck Lake where Cap taught me to swim 40 years ago. The last couple days have been packed with activities—sailing, archery, riflery, scatterball, tennis and the final campfire. Just like being a camper again! Can’t wait to return.Jim H., Winnetka, IL

THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Thank you for carrying the Chippewa spirit with you and sharing it with your sons—and grandsons—so they can experience the same joy you did at camp. Our legacy campers ensure the tradition and heritage of Camp Chippewa continues. We rely on our current camp families and our alumni to spread the word.
