Adventure, Tradition, and Character are the three pillars of Camp Chippewa. With your support of the Camp Chippewa Foundation, we fortify these pillars in three ways: Sustain, Innovate, and Outreach.
Sustain
Your general support undergirds literally every aspect of providing transformational experiences to boys as we have done since 1935 when Otto “Cap” Endres and his family established Camp Chippewa for Boys. From operations to partnering with industry-leading trainers who work with our staff to enhance their skills, we rely on your donations to make lasting impacts on campers and grow a community that truly becomes one big family.
Innovate
Guided by our values, Camp Chippewa consistently looks to not only build on the excellence honed over decades but to grow and adapt to meet the needs of today’s boys. From remodeling buildings to adding new and exciting activities that fit with our values, your support keeps Camp Chippewa ahead of the curve in providing the best summer camp experience possible.
Outreach
Buoyed by a strong commitment to inclusion, Camp Chippewa heeds the call to action by providing boys from underserved communities an opportunity to grow and learn without the financial burdens brought on by tuition. Every year 10-15% of our campers receive some kind of financial support. Whether you support general scholarships or wish to work with us to sponsor a boy, giving to the Camp Chippewa Foundation provides a priceless legacy to these young men.
There are many ways you can support Camp Chippewa with a gift to the Camp Chippewa Foundation.
Our annual appeal comes out toward the end of the year outlining general operating needs and special projects.
Every year a handful of alumni underwrite the tuition for boys who they believe would benefit from attending Camp Chippewa but are unable to afford the cost. Please contact us if you’re interested in pursuing this option.
Your gift to the Camp Chippewa Foundation Endowment is a long-term investment in scholarships, capital projects, and program improvements.
As you are aware, there are numerous options for acknowledging Camp in your estate. We can provide assistance. Most importantly, contact your financial advisor so your wishes are properly documented and can be fulfilled.
Other ways to donate are:
- through purchases PayPal Giving Fund
- Thrivent Choice Dollars
- employer matching programs
- Giving Tuesday, during the month of November
- Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day
- in-kind donations of your time, goods, or services
